Terry Urbanczyk caught up with Pat “Gary” Wakeford, here are his thoughts.

1 – So, apart from being the PFG general team big chat and supporter, what do you do for work?

I work in an IT department, I do clicking, double clicking, right clicking, opening email, sending emails.. etc

2 – What is on your to-do list today?

For such an unorganised person it’s the same every day… try and organise stuff, house group, football, PFG Men’s weekend. Then get home cos my wife is having a baby in a few weeks.

3 – How would you describe your role in the PFG team?

Just be a “Gary” get involved, help out my mate Tim etc etc. Also I’m helping run the men’s weekend.

4 – Apart from family, what are your main focuses in life right now?

Church, doing up my house, “Garying”, thinking about organising PFG mens weekend, thinking about being a pro cyclist and winning,

5 – In your new role of PFG Men’s weekend coordinator/leader, what was the inspiration behind this vision? And what do you expect from the Men’s weekend?

It’s very simple, Jesus was the man, is the man… when we focus on being men we need to look to the real deal, we will be focusing on the characteristics of the man Jesus.  In Particular, being a servant, responsibility, discipline and love.

6 – The main PFG weekend isn’t too far away now – are you anxious in any way?

Nope

7 – What are you looking forward to the most?

I might not be there as my wife is having a baby around the same time. So just making it will be an achievement.

8 – What would you say to those on the edge, that are thinking of coming but haven’t booked yet?

Get involved!!!

9 – Lastly, If you were stuck on an island, which PFG team member would you like to be stuck with and why?

Pete Chamberlin because he is on a whole different level to everyone else when it comes to being positive and enthusiastic.
